Project: new training program for Cadet instructors on positive social relations for youth.

Services: Project Definition and Planning; Scoping and Budgeting; RFP Development and Management; Supplier Management; Project Execution and Control; Launch and Evaluation.

The Challenge: taking an out-dated, multi-day instructor-led training program and redesigning it as an interactive program that instructors can use to better engage students through the use of multimedia, and to improve consistency of instruction.

The Outcome: Cadet instructors and students embraced the new program, and focus group tests consistently returned positive feedback on the new design and format.

Project: Interactive training program to help teach disadvantaged women technology skills.

Services: Project Definition and Planning; Scoping and Budgeting; Supplier Management; Project Execution and Control; Launch and Evaluation.

The Challenge: iSisters teaches basic computer skills to hundreds of women each year. The challenge: how to use technology to teach technology. The solution is iTeachnologyTM, a blended learning program using the Moodle platform to assign learners a series of interactive activities at the basic level, while being facilitated/supported by an in-class instructor. As the learner gains confidence, they are assigned more challenging interactive activities in iTeachnologyTM, and the instructors track their progress using Moodle’s user management system.

The Outcome: Students continually affirm the effectiveness of iTeachnology, and its user-centred design. Also included in the design of the Moodle system is a customized content development tool that allows non-technical users (like instructors and program coordinators) to design interactive content without having any web programming/design skills.

Project: interactive learning program to teach all ranks of Army the new Land Operations and Counter-insurgency doctrines.

Services: Project Definition and Planning; Scoping and Budgeting; RFP Development and Management; Supplier Management; Project Execution and Control; Launch and Evaluation.

The Challenge: converting 600+ pages of doctrine manuals into a learner-centred, interactive program that could be used by soldiers and senior officers alike.

The Outcome: a comprehensive and engaging learning program that includes video, interactive activities and assessments. Focus group tests overwhelmingly validated the new, more accessible approach – one that allowed learners to access the content at their own pace, anywhere, anytime.
